Robert Morrison, 1782-1834
In September 1807, Robert Morrison arrived Canton and became the first
protestant missionary to China. From his efforts, Christianity took deep roots
in the Chinese soil and blossomed even under the Communist rule over 50
years. He also greatly contributed to the modernization of China.
This movie simply took the pictures shown in the "200th Anniversary of Robert
Morrison's Arriving in China, A Historical Photograph Exhibition" produced by
Professor Lin Zeping of Cosmic Care, and vocalized the narration included in
the book published for the exhibition.
